‘Catching Fire’ Wins Movie Of The Year At 2014 MTV Movie Awards

Movie fans let their voices be heard Sunday night when they awarded their favorite celebs and movies with their very own golden popcorn bucket trophy at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards. 

Winning the night’s top honors was “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” which took home the award for Movie of the Year. 

The science fiction adventure film’s leading stars también won the top acting awards. Actress Jennifer Lawrence picked up a trophy for Best Female Performance while actor Josh Hutcherson won the award for Best Male Performance. 

Hosted by comedian Conan O’ Brien, the star-studded ceremony inside the Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live also had some unusual categories such as Best Shirtless Performance, Best Scared As Sh-t Performance y Best #WTF Moment which Zac Efron, Brad Pitt y Leonardo DiCaprio won respectively. 

As for the Best Hero award, that went to Henry Cavill for his work on “Man of Steel.”

The year’s best kiss was a three-way win for Jennifer Aniston, Will Poulter and Emma Roberts in “We’re The Millers.” 

Following his Oscar award, actor Jared Leto won Best Onscreen Transformation for “Dallas Buyers Club.” 

Aside from a shirtless Efron accepting his award, one of the night’s best moments went to Mila Kunis. The 30-year-old soon-to-be Mrs. Ashton Kutcher showed off baby bump as she accepted the award for Best Villain. The actress is reportedly expecting her first baby with Kutcher. 

Besides it being all about the actors and actresses, there were also some musical performances. 

Rihanna and Eminem took the stage to perform their latest hit single “The Monster.” 

Other performances included Ellie Goulding singing “Beating Heart” and Zedd cantando “Find You.”
