Los Angeles Has the Worst Smog Since 2009

Is this even a surprise?

A new report has come in stating that the smog in Los Angeles is at its worse since 2009.

Ozone, the gas in smog that exacerbates asthma and other bad stuff, have exceeded federal standards on 91 days so far this year, according to data from the South Coast Air Quality Management District

According to that same report, the effects are already evident. In the Inland Empire, where the smog is even worst, hospitals have seen a rise in patients coming in with respiratory illnesses. In June and July, Dignity Health Community Hospital of San Bernardino saw a 10 to 15% uptick in patients in the emergency room, many of whom were there for asthma or other conditions exacerbated by the smog.

The smog situation is getting bad, but apparently it isn’t as bad as it was in the 70’s and 80’s when cars were wildly heavy and inefficient (as in, they put out more emissions).

So, this just goes to prove that global warming is real. What do you think?
