Rapper says he never promised woman money.
Drake has filed an official response to a lawsuit filed last month by a woman claiming she was the Young Money star’s ex-girlfriend and he owes her unpaid royalties for his hit “Marvin’s Room.” Ericka Lee has consistently claimed that Drake even sent her a text praising her work on the record.
Drake now claims that no money was ever promised for Lee’s appearance on the song–she’s the voice of a voicemail recording in the intro–claiming that “she consented to the use of her voice in the song ‘Marvin’s Room’ for no compensation.”
He also says the two were never romantically involved.
Hmmmmm…. I wonder.
