Move over, Carlos Slim!
Bill Gates is back to reclaim his title of the World’s Richest Person.
The Microsoft founder has once again topped Forbes’ The Richest People On The Planet 2014 list.
According to the revista, Gates is worth $76 billion, replacing mexican media mogul Slim, who is worth $4 billion less, at $72 billion.
Slim had been at the top for the past four years, but according to Forbes, his shares of his mining company Minera Frisco have fallen more than 50 percent in the past year which have contributed to his loss in net worth.
As for Gates, a bounce in Microsoft shares have helped him get back on top, según Forbes.
Rounding up the top five most richest people in the world are: Amancito Ortega, who is worth $64 billion, Warren Buffet with a net worth of $58.2 billion and Larry Ellison, who is worth $48 billion.
Christy Walton, co-chair of the Children’s Scholarship Fund is the woman with the highest ranking on the list. She comes in at number nine with a net worth of $36.7 billion.
Y what about Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg? He is at the 21st spot on the list with a net worth of $28.5 billion.
