Our parents always told us, “You can’t live off of Cup Noodles for the rest of your life, they’re bad for you.”
Well, that saying will soon change, because Cup Noodles is changing their recipe for the first time in 45 years. Nissin Foods USA, the company that makes the world famous soups, announced that they’ve removed MSG and artificial flavors, and reduced the amount of sodium in each cup.
According to the L.A. Times, a pre-revamp single serving of Cup Noodles’ most popular flavor, chicken, contained 60% of the recommended daily sodium intake; the new recipe reduced that number to 45% of the recommended daily intake.
Looks like our parents are a little bit correct, Cup Noodles are not super healthy, but they sure are delicious. What do you think of these changes?
