NBC’s “The Voice” is about to get ‘hella good’.
That is because singer, songwriter and No Doubt lead singer Gwen Stefani will be joining the singing competition show as a coach la próxima temporada.
The official announcement comes a little over a week after reports were made that the 44-year-old So. Cal native was in talks to join the popular television series. Apparently, she was debating between “The Voice” y ABC’s “Rising Star,” which is set to premiere this summer.
“We’re very happy to officially announce that two superstars will be joining the next season in these coaches’ chairs: Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani will be added to the Voice family,” said host Carson Daly at the start of Tuesday night’s show. “We’re so happy to have them join our ever-growing Voice family.”
Stefani will be filling in for judge Cristina Aguilera quien esta pregnant con su segundo bebé.
“So excited to have you join #TheVoice squad @GwenStefani! Welcome to our crazy fam! Kisses xoxo #blondesdoitbest,” Aguilera tweeted on Tuesday.
Aguilera is expected to return to the show next year for its eighth season.
In the meantime, Stefani y Williams will join veteran judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
Both Stefani and Williams will be introduced on the May 5 show with a performance de cada uno.
