A concert in So Cal featuring one of music’s most popular and powerful duos is one step closer to becoming a reality.
In an unanimous vote, the Pasadena City Council approved on Tuesday a summer concert that will bring rapper Jay Z and his superstar wife Beyonce to the Rose Bowl.
For the past couple of weeks, there have been reports circling around that Mr. and Mrs. Carter will be going on 20-city stadium tour together, pero no official details have been given….until now.
Concert promoter Live Nation has yet to officially announce the event, pero with this approval, fans can pretty much be sure it is a done deal.
El show va ser the year’s 18th large-scale concert at the venue. Usually, the limit es 12, but the city council can approve more like how they did in this case.
Other concerts scheduled to happen this summer at the Rose Bowl include boy band One Direction y “The Monster” couple Rihanna and Eminem.
It is all an effort to generate more revenue for the stadium. According to Rose Bowl officials, concerts make an average of $400,000 per night.
No word yet on how much Jay Z and Beyonce’s concert tickets will cost pero the date discussed by the city council was August 2.
