The nominees for the 25th Annual Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Awards have been revealed and some of the biggest names in music are among them.
Lady Gaga, Vampire Weekend y Elton John estan nominados for Outstanding Music Artist for their fair and accurate representation of gay, lesbian, transgender y bisexual people.
Also nominated in that category are the English electronic music duo, Goldfrapp y the Canadian indie rock twin sisters, Tegan and Sara.
Every year, GLAAD recognizes and honors the different branches of media for including the LGBT community in their films, television series, documentaries, journalistic work, blogs, books and music in an unbiased manner.
Some of the films nominated are also Academy Award nominees comó “Dallas Buyers Club” y “Philomena.”
ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” Showtime’s “Shameless,” ABC Family’s “The Fosters” along with “Pretty Little Liars” and BBC America’s “Orphan Black” are all up for Outstanding Drama Series.
On the comedy front, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Glee,” “Modern Family,” “Orange is the New Black,” and Please Like Me,” are all nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series.

The GLAAD Media Awards will be presented April 12 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles y otra vez on May 3 at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City.
