TELEMUNDO announced today the renowned performers that will pay tribute to Juan Gabriel during the 2016 “Latin American Music Awards.” World music singer Lila Downs, Spanish songstress Shaila Durcal and the “Ambassador of Mexican Music” Aida Cuevas will be joined on stage by Mariachi De Mi Tierra Juan Gabriel, which toured with the late artist for over two decades, on a musical number produced by his longtime producer and orchestra director Eduardo Magallanes.
In addition, the network announced its star-studded list of award presenters, as well as its hosts for the pre-show special “La Alfombra de Latin AMAs” and its post-show special “Latin AMAs Acceso VIP.” Produced by TELEMUNDO and SOMOS Productions, the awards show will broadcast live on Thursday, October 6 at 8pm/7c from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, CA.
The “Latin AMAs” will also be simulcast on NBC UNIVERSO in the U.S. and on TELEMUNDO Internacional on 21 Latin American countries.
