Following her unforgettable Oscar win earlier this year, actress Lupita Nyong’o now has a new gig and making history with it.
The 31-year-old is now the new ambassador for Lancome, the company announced on Friday.
Pero, not only that. With her new beauty gig, Nyong’o becomes Lancome’s first-ever Black ambassador.
“What appealed to me about Lancome is that they’re not dictating what beauty is,” she told Women’s Wear Daily (WWD). “What they do supports something that already is -and that was appealing to me, too. It’s what drew me to them.”
The Mexican-born beauty queen joins Julia Roberts, Kate Winslet y Penelope Cruz in becoming the latest Academy Award winning actress to sign a deal with the French company.
