Salsa superstar Marc Anthony left Thursday’s 2014 Billboard Latin Music Awards with more awards than he could possibly carry himself.
The “Vivir Mi Vida” singer won a total of 10 awards at the star-studded gala inside Miami’s Bank United Center including Artist of the Year, Hot Latin Song of the Year, Airplay Song of the Year, Digital Song of the Year, Top Latin Album of the Year, and Latin Pop Song of the Year.
“This award really motivates me,” Anthony said with teary eyes as he accepted his Artist of the Year award. He went on to dedicate the honor to his kids.
“Vivir Mi Vida” as well as his latest album “3.0” have been all success for the 45-year-old singer. The track spent a total of 17 weeks at number one on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart, según Billboard.
Another big winner at the awards show was el bachatero Prince Royce who took home a total of four awards. Besides winning Hot latin Songs Artist of the Year, Male él también ganó Latin Pop Songs Artist of the Year, Solo, Tropical Song of the Year, Solo as well as Streaming Song of the Year for his hit single “Darte Un Beso.”
Royce also performed “Darte Un Beso” pero fue en Portuguese alongside Brazilian singer Michele Teló.
Other performances of the night included never-performed songs como “Vida,” an official 2014 FIFA World Cup song by Ricky Martin y ‘Bailando,” Enrique Iglesias’ latest single.
The 2014 Billboard Latin Music Awards stage also served as the place for the long-awaited return of Chayanne.
After four years, the Puerto Rican singer made his official return to la música by performing “Humanos al Marte,” a song that is said to be in his soon-to-be-released album.
The awards were hosted by actress Roselyn Sanchez, actress and singer Laura Flores and TV personality Raúl González.
