“American Hustle” and “The Wolf of Wall Street” continue to dominate this year’s award season.
Both films, which have already won Golden Globes and were nominated to every major movie award, lead this year’s MTV Movie Award nominations.

Both “American Hustle” and “The Wolf of Wall Street” are competing against each other in several categories including Movie of the Year, Best Male Performance for Bradley Cooper and Leonardo DiCaprio respectively, and Best On-Screen Duo.
The 1970’s-based “American Hustle” is also nominated for Best On-Screen Transformation, Best Cameo Performance and even has two nominations in the Best Female Performance. One for Amy Adams’ character y la otra por Jennifer Lawrence’s work in the film.
As for “The Wolf of Wall Street,” it is also nominated for Breakthrough Performance, Best Comedic Performance y Best Musical Moment.
Y what about what is now considered the best movie of the year? Academy Award-winner for Best Picture “12 Years A Slave” is also nominated for Movie of the Year y Best Villain, among others.
Pero, unlike the Academy Awards, the MTV Movie Awards has more “fun” categories such as Best Hero, Best Shirtless Performance, Best Kiss, Best Scared0As S**t Performance and #WTF Moment.
Earlier this week it was announced that late-night host Conan O’Brien has been chosen to host this year’s awards show live from the Nokia Theatre in Downtown LA.
The MTV Movie Awards will be held Sunday, April 12 at 9 p.m. ET.
