While it may be pretty obvious, Beyonce once again reminds us that she’s “the boss.”
However, this time it is for a good cause.
Queen B has joined other notable women such as actresses Jennifer Garner and Jane Lynch as well as fashion designer Diane Von Fürstenberg and former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for an online campaign that aims to get rid of the word “bossy.”
The “Ban Bossy” campaign was created and launched by Facebook’s Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg.
El proposito del campaign is to encourage girls to lead.
“When a little boy asserts himself, he’s called a ‘leader’,” dijo Sandberg. “Yet when a little girl does the same, she risks being branded ‘bossy’.”
As part of the campaign, Beyonce along with the other women appear in a one-minute video that has gone viral.
These women along with Secretary of Education Arne Duncan all encourage young girls to replace “being bossy” with “I’m the boss.”
