In his latest song, rapper and songwriter Drake name drops some of his fellow rappers, actors and some athletes.
The song se llama “Draft Day” and it samples Lauryn Hill’s “Doo-Wop.” In it, the 27-year-old makes references to Kanye West and Jay Z, actress Jennifer Lawrence and quarterback Johnny Manziel.
Drake begins his song with the former Heisman Trophy winner and soon-to-be NFL player.
“Draft day, Johhny Manziel. Five years later how am I the man still,” he says in reference to the athlete.
Otro athlete he mentions es Andrew Wiggins, who was declared for the 2014 NBA draft earlier this week.
“Draft day, A. Wiggins. F*** that other side b**** we stay winnin’. Aww man, you know I had to do it for you. You know I had to do it for ya,” the lyrics read.
He then goes on to mention some of Hollywood’s royalty.
“On some Hunger Games s**t I would die for my District. Jennifer Lawrence you can really get it. I mean forreal, girl you know I had to do it for ya,” he tells the Academy Award-winning actress.
As for fellow rappers Jay Z and Kanye West, this is what Drake is most likely saying about them:
“I’m focused on making records and getting bigger. Just hits, no misses, that’s for the married folk. Tell ‘em fix my suite up cause I’m coming home.”
The song todavia no esta en iTunes or anywhere else for purchase. Pero, it is rapidly going viral and available to stream and download on Soundcloud.
