With the high success of Disney’s “Frozen,” movie soundtracks have taken on a new meaning.
Idina Menzel’s “Let It Go” for the animated film has reminded us of the power songs and music have on a movie. They are not only catchy songs to sing along to, but they can mean much more than that.
So now, with summer blockbusters coming to theaters very soon, it is time to start thinking about your summer movie playlist.
Y to kick things off are Alicia Keys and Kendrick Lamar.
Both artists have come together for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” song “It’s On Again.”
“I’m very excited to be a part of such a wonderful collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams and Hans Zimmer,” said Keys in a statement. “This is the next chapter in the Sider-Man legacy and we really feel ‘It’s On Again’ captures the experience, the story and most importantly, the meaning behind the film, which is that we all have the potential to be extraordinary. There’s a little bit of a super hero in all of us.”
The song empieza con Lamar showing off his talents as a rapper y luego Keys jumps again with her soulful voice giving the song a nice mixture of both sounds.
“It’s On Again” is now available to purchase on iTunes while the entire single is scheduled to be released later this month on April 22.
