Bachata superstar Prince Royce is a man with many talents.
He can sing, write songs, produce music and he can do it all while speaking English and Spanish.
Pues ahora, the 24-year-old talented musician can add another skill to this list: he can sing in Portuguese.
Prince Royce has recorded a Portuguese version of his hit single, “Darte Un Beso” featuring Brazilian singer Michel Teló.
In Portuguese, the title of the song translates to “Te Dar Um Beijo” y it is not a bachata style. Instead, the song es al estilo sertanejo, an accordion-based style of music that is the most popular in Brazil.
La canción starts with Teló and then it switches over to Royce. The two then alternate the rest of the way.
So como es que this song got recreated into Portuguese?
Según Billboard, Teló wanted to record “Darte Un Beso” in his native language so he talked to Royce who then suggested that they just sing it together. Royce then worked with a coach to sing in Portuguese.
The result was “Te Dar Um Beijo,” which will be on Teló’s soon-to-be released new album.
It will also be available as a single iTunes starting on April 22.
