Orlando Bloom Gets A Star On Hollywood’s Walk of Fame

There is a new star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. 

On Wednesday, actor Orlando Bloom became the latest celeb to be immortalized on one of the world’s most famous sidewalks. 

“It is wonderful and a little surreal to be receiving this star on Hollywood Boulevard,” said Bloom during his speech. “I still feel like I’m at the beginning of my career and I’ve got so much to look forward to.”

El actor, quien is best known for his roles as Legolas in “The Hobbit” films as well as Will Turner in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, added que como un niño growing up in England el soño con being an actor pero never thought he would be honored with a star.  

“Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would be standing here receiving this star on this mythical walk of fame,” he said. 

Bloom’s star es la number 2,521 y was placed on Hollywood Blvd near Orange Dr. between the TCL Chinese Theatre and Madame Tussauds Hollywood. 

Along con su familia y amigos, actors Forest Whitaker and David Leveaux were on hand for the ceremony and spoke about their work with the British actor. 

“I’ll never forget the joy that he had, the power that he had, I’d never forget the contribution that he was going to make in the future to the world, to his son, through his work and through his life,” said Whitaker. “I’m really proud that I get the chance to be a part of you receiving this star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

Lastly, Bloom thanked his loved ones including his ex wife, Miranda Kerr and their three-year-old son. 

“No success could happen or even feel vaguely this sweet without the support of my family and friends,” Bloom said. “Miranda for giving my the greatest gift of all, my son. You know I love you all and thank you for everything.”
