For a second consecutive week Latin superstar Prince Royce‘s latest Spanish-language bachata single “Culpa al Corazón” is the #1 song on Latin radio in the United States and Puerto Rico according to Billboard’s “Latin Airplay” chart.
“Culpa al Corazón” has also become a smash hit in the Dominican Republic where it is the #1 song on radio and holds the #1 spot on Monitor Latino’s general chart for the third consecutive week.
“Culpa al Corazón” is the first major tropical hit of 2016. . . in fact, there has not been a tropical #1 on Billboard’s “Latin Airplay” chart since August of 2015. The song also marks Royce’s ninth “Latin Airplay” #1; twelfth “Tropical Airplay” #1 and fifth “Pop Airplay” #1 (as of last week).
With “Culpa Al Corazón”, Royce returns to his bachata roots and the sound that made him famous. The song composed by Daniel Santa Cruz and Prince Royce and produced by D’lesly “Dice” Lora, is a romantic and melodic modern bachata with traditional sounds and the unmistakeable sweet and youthful voice of the singer.
The song’s video premiered two weeks ago and it already has more than 4.4 million views on Vevo/YouTube, it was filmed in the Palmdale, California desert by renown film/video director Jessy Terrero, it tells the story of a passionate love affair with one violent obstacle.
