If you are a driver who lives in Glendale, you are paying way too much for car insurance.
In fact, you are paying the most out of anyone else in the state of California.
According to a study by ValuePengun, which is a consumer finance website, single drivers in Glendale paid $1,823 in 2013. That is 62 percent over the average cost of annual premiums for basic insurance in the state.
Glendale residents pay more because there are more accidents that result in bodily injuries and because the city has many uninsured or underinsured drivers that get into accidents, according to Tin Pen, the study’s author.
However, Glendale is not the only city in Southern California with high car insurance bills. Following Glendale are: Los Angeles, Inglewood, Culver City and Santa Monica.
So if you want to pay less for car insurance you might consider moving to Calexico, the cheapest city in California for car insurance.
