Singer Rihanna will soon be adding another award to her collection.
The “Diamonds” singer has been chosen to be the recipient of the first-ever American Music Awards’ “AMA Icon Award.”
“The first-ever Icon Award was created to honor an artist whose body of work has made a profound influence over pop music on a global level,” said Larry Kein, producer of the AMA, according to Billboard Magazine. “Rihanna’s iconic and innovative sounds has enabled her to become one of the most influential and best-selling artists of all time.”
Rihanna has won six AMA and is scheduled to perform at this year’s ceremony which will take place on November 24th on ABC.
