Cha-ching! Taylor Swift’s bank account has been ringing a lot in the past year.
In fact, the most out of anybody else’s in the music industry.
The singer-songwriter has topped Billboard’s 2014 “Money Makers” list.
According to Billboard, the 24-year-old earned almost $40 million is 2013.
Wow! That’s a lot of dough.
It mostly came from her Red Tour, which made more than $30 million just in the U.S.. The rest of her fortune came from physical and digital sales of her 2012 album “Red.”
This makes Swift the richest person in the music industry.
Rounding up the top five are country star Kenny Chesney, who made almost $33 million. Justin Timberlake takes the number three spot with just over $31 million while Bon Jovi, who earned over $29 million and The Rolling Stones, with a total earnings of $26 million take the number four and five spots, respectively.
