Easter Sunday is right around the corner.
Y while that means que the sacrifices that we promised to make during lent will soon be over, it also means scavengers young and young at heart are getting ready for one of their favorite things to do this time of year: hunt for Easter eggs.
Easter eggs hunts are an annual tradition across the country and L.A. es uno de los mejores lugares to do so with its gorgeous weather.
There are Easter events happening all across the city starting on Friday, April 18 and all the way up until Easter Sunday on April 20th.
Most of these events are low-cost or even better, they are FREE!
However, with so much going on, it is hard to do decide which one to go to. Pero, no se preocupen. I’ve done the research for you and picked out the top five.
So grab your baskets and head on over to one of these events!

Big Bunny’s Spring Fling at the L.A. Zoo & Botanical Gardens
This weekend, hop on over to the L.A. Zoo where there will be a bunny-themed Easter celebration. Kids can make bunny ears, have their photo taken with Big Bunny (for a fee), watch magic shows, enjoy live entertainment and even pet a fuzzy bunny! The zoo has a weekend-long lineup filled with Easter activities that will be fun for the entire family. It all starts on Friday, April 18 at 10 a.m.. Click here for more info.

Teen Glow-In-The-Dark Egg Hunt
Teens looking for a more challenging Easter egg hunt, the Malibu Bluffs Park is the place to be this Friday night. This Easter egg hunt won’t have the usual plastic eggs, it will be glow-in-the-dark Easter eggs. The prizes inside of them will also be more grown up. Instead of candy, these will have store certificates, gift cards and coupons. There will also be music, food and more glow-in-the-dark games. It is all from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

8th Annual O.C. Marketplace Easter Festival & Treasure Hunt
Want a free photo with the Easter Bunny? Make your way over to the O.C. Marketplace in Costa Mesa where starting at 10 a.m., kids can take free photos with the Easter Bunny. There will also be a special Easter brunch provided by more than half a dozen food trucks. Other activities include marionette shows, face painting and of course, a treasure hunt. This treasure hunt will have limited “golden ticket” eggs and if you find one, you’ll get a special prize. It is all happening Saturday, April 19 from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The first 500 kids in line for the Treasure Hunt will get a plush toy! More info, click here.

Downtown L.A. Easter Fest at Grand Hope Park
It is one of the biggest Easter celebrations in the city. The 6th Annual Downtown Easter Fest at Grand Hope Park will not only have an Easter egg hunt, but also several bounce houses, face painting, a pie eating contest, arts and crafts, and plenty of food, drinks and games. But wait, it gets better. This year, the event will have 10,000 Easter eggs for you to go find! It is all happening this Sunday, April 20 from 2 to 5 p.m..Click here for more info.

Bugs Bunny Cartoon Classic & Easter Egg Hunt
If you prefer something on the quieter side this Easter, the Aero Theater in Santa Monica is the place for you this Easter Sunday. In the spirit of being bunny season, the theater will show cartoon classics starring the most famous of all the bunnies: Bugs Bunny. There will also be an Easter egg hunt 30 minutes before the movies so be sure to arrive at 3:30 p.m..For tickets and more information, check out the theater’s website here.
