2016 has started with a major news event, the capture of Joaquin Guzman Loera or best known as “El Chapo.”
What makes the capture even more interesting is that “El Chapo” had a secret interview with hollywood actor Sean Penn and Mexican actress Kate Del Castillo. A 2-minute video of the interview was released and in it we can see “El Chapo” answer a couple of questions. He talks about how he got into the drug business, about trafficking, about getting caught among other things.
Both U.S. and Mexican authorities are said to be interested in speaking with Penn, while Mexican authorities are looking into Kate Del Castillo’s involvement as well. The interview was conducted in October, which means Penn and Del Castillo knew where “El Chapo” was located and now there’s talk that they helped harbor a fugitive. Something that’s against the law in the U.S.
Not only is this going to be a big deal for Penn, but it’ll probably be worse for Del Castillo since she lives in Mexico. Esto si es algo que a lo mejor no puede terminar bien para los dos actores. Pero aver que pasa.
