After learning about the death of everyone’s favorite TV uncle, actor James Avery, who played Uncle Phil on the hit sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” our thoughts quickly went to the show’s star, Will Smith. How would he react? What will he say?
Pues ahora, the actor has finally broken his silence.
En un post on his official Facebook page, Will Smith shared a photo of himself with Avery along with some of their co-stars on the show and wrote a heartfelt tribute to the man that played his father figure on “The Fresh Prince.”
“Some of my greatest lessons in Acting, Living and being a respectable human being came through James Avery. Every young man needs an Uncle Phil. Rest in Peace. This photo was the last time we were together,” Smith wrote.
Avery died on December 31 after suffering complications from open-heart surgery. He was 68.
The video below has gone viral the last couple of days. It shows one of the most touching scenes between Avery and Smith on “The Fresh Prince.” The Huffington Post has already called it “…the most touching scene in TV history.”
