A student at a Pittsburgh-area high school went on a rampage Wednesday morning stabbing and slashing people randomly, leaving 20 people injured, 7 of them seriously injured.
Emergency crews were sent to Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville after a male student armed with a knife began attacking people in multiple classrooms and hallways on the first floor of the building around 7:15 a.m.
Allegedly 8 patients were sent to Forbes Regional Hospital. The rest were transported to Allegheny General Hospital and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian. 4 of the victims were airlifted because of the seriousness of their injuries. 7 patients are suffering from life-threatening injuries, although they are expected to survive.
No motive for the violent attacks has been determined. The authorities are investigating the troubled suspect.
